The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have played in the IPL for a long time, however they have yet to win an IPL championship. They’ve finished runners-up three times in the event, so they’ve come close.
They’ve won five of their seven games so far in the IPL 2021, and they’re in good shape to take home the crown. The Virat Kohli-led team is presently third in the league and looking forward to the second half of the season.
But there’s still time, and businesses won’t just sit around waiting. Instead, they’ll plan for the IPL 2022 super auctions.
Teams will be able to keep a maximum of three players, and they can utilise the RTM card (Right to Match) to bring back two of their players during the auctions.
In light of this, we’re taking a close look at three players RCB is most likely to keep in the mega auctions.
1.Muhammad Siraj
In terms of RCB appearances, Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most valuable players, but if he continues to struggle in the IPL in 2021, he may lose his place on the team’s roster. Mohammed Siraj, for example, has been on fire lately.
The 27-year-old is also expected to play in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand.
RCB’s Siraj took six wickets at an average of 31.83 in seven games this season. He is a bowler on whom Kohli can rely to get RCB out of sticky situations.
2.De Villiers, A.B.
AB de Villiers, also known as Mr. 360 because of his unconventional batting style, is a dominant force in the T20 format. The South African batsman has proclaimed his retirement from international cricket, but he continues to wow fans with his daring strokes in the regional divisions.
De Villiers has been in superb form lately, and he even helped RCB win the IPL 2021 on many occasions. RCB continued to use the 37-year-old in 2018.
3.Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the only player to have played for the same team in every IPL season and is likely to do so in the near future.
The RCB captain has amassed the most runs in IPL history, surpassing the 6000-run barrier this year.
In spite of his less than stellar batting season, Kohli will be a solid captain in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2021. RCB are currently in the top four in the points table thanks to his brilliant leadership.
