IPL 2021, or you can say the 14th edition of IPL will start from 9th April 2021. List of the players who are not going to be part of IPL 2021

1.Mitchell Starc 

Australian veteran fast bowler Mitchell Starc is no doubt one of the best bowlers in the world at the moment. Unfortunately, this left-arm pacer is going to miss IPL 2021. However, this is not new news for fans because he is avoiding IPL since 2015. Due to personal reasons or some kind of injury issues, he decided to miss this big event of cricket until last season. Now, he decided to skip IPL 2021 because he wants to play for Sheffield Shield in Australia and do hard work to win the trophy.     

2.Dale Steyn 

Dale Steyn was the first player who confirmed from the very beginning regarding pull out of IPL 2021. This South African pacer informed via Twitter regarding this, and he mentioned that he did not want to play IPL this season. After this tweet, many fans speculated that Dale is retiring from a short cricket format, but later, he cleared that he is not retiring. Recently he played Lanka premium league and Pakistan super league. Fans still hope he will back again next season in IPL.      

3.Joe Root 

Joe Root is one of this era’s successful cricketers, but he never played IPL till now. Every year fans expect IPL teams to bid him, but unfortunately, Joe Root doesn’t want to register his name for the IPL auction. According to Joe, he wants to play IPL, but currently, he focuses on test cricket and doesn’t want to throw all his energy on IPL and any other short format T20 leagues.

4.Mark Wood

Mark wood is one of the fastest English cricket bowlers who has played only one IPL game in his cricketing career. This pacer made his IPL debut for CSK in 2018, but after that, he never played any season further. Recently this English pacer impressed everyone in the T20 series against India. Initially, Mark wood registered his name for IPL 2021 season, but before the auction, he pulled out his name because he wants to spend some quality time with his family members.      

 

5.Shreyas Iyer 

Shreyas Iyer is one of the famous names on the list of emerging players in IPL. Because of his exceptional talent, Delhi Capitals were decided to give him the captaincy in the previous season of IPL. Unfortunately, Shreyas will miss the IPL 2021 season because of the injury. 

In the India vs. England series, Shreyas Iyer got a severe shoulder injury. No doubt this is a big blow for Delhi Capitals. DC officials also confirmed that Shreyas would not play the 14th season of IPL 2021; they declared Rishabh Pant as the captain of Delhi Capitals for this season of Vivo IPL 2021.
