Even though his global breakthrough was in December 2010, his injury-ravaged journey restricted him to only 40 ODI and 23 T20I games since about April 2021. Early life
Since school time Milne’s passion for cricket has grown. He went to Palmerston North Normal School, followed by Palmerston North Boys’ High School. In 2009, he joined the Central Districts and began his cricket journey. During the second half of the English cricket season of 2017, Milne joined the Kent County Cricket Club in May 2017.
Domestic career
When he was at his academy, he developed his passion for cricket. He was a pace bowler at first. Even so, when he entered North Boys’ High School, whereby he vowed simply to have become a fast bowler, he increased his speed. The Kiwi fast bowler began his cricket journey with various age-group crickets for the Central Districts. He began playing for the Under-19s Central District team in December 2009.
The following year, 2010, he built his reputation in the upper squad, while at the Plunket Shield he marked his first-class breakthrough in the Central Districts. In the game, he took four wickets and stayed for both innings (0* & 3*). Milne’s first T20 game in Champions League Twenty20 was followed on September 11, 2010, by Chennai Super Kings(CSK). Afterwards, in 2011, he began to play against Auckland for his List- A career for the Districts. In the game, he scored not out 19 runs and chose one wicket.
International Career
His appearance in the top class was the year he performed for New Zealand in his initial international tournament T20. He made his first appearance in Pakistan with his T20I. In 2012, Milne decided to finally make that One International (ODI) appearance two years later. On the New Zealand tour of Sri Lanka, his appearance came against Sri Lanka. In only three hits, he made 12 runs, one of which was six and four. With the price of Rs.75 lakhs at the auction well before IPL 2016, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) purchased him.
He played his first IPL game against Hyderabad Sunrisers, where he picked his first IPL wicket as Moises Henriques. At the 2016 IPL, Adam participated in just one game because of the hamstring wound, he was excluded from the competition. Over the next term he entered the squad and played with them in five tournaments Mumbai Indians then selected him at the auction for IPL 2019, however, because of the injuries still, he wasn’t part of the team. Yet again towards the auction, Mumbai Indians have picked up Adam Milne, but this time at an increase of Rs. 3.2 in IPL 2021.
