 Anrich Arno Nortje is a young and very skilful South African cricketer who plays for South Africa cricket team at international and domestic level. He is one of the most important part of South Africa fast bowling attack . He was born on 16 November, 1993 by which it can be said that today he is only 27 years and the player has earned a lot of respect in his playing years till now. Anrich Nortje always says that his favourite player or his idol is Dale Steyn. Nortje is a fast right arm fast bowler who has all the abilities to take wickets in starting overs as well as in death overs too. 

EARLY LIFE

Anrich Nortje is a standard genuine quick who has been described as extremely exciting by none other than his idol Dale Steyn only. Like Steyn, the player is not a part of big city and comes from a very underrated poor town of Uitenhage, nothing of port Elizabeth which is also the home of largest Volkswagen factory in the African continent. The best thing about this speedy bowler is that he has speed. He regularly sends the speed gun over 150 kph and also has some good pointed Yorker as well as bouncer. 

Anrich Nortje was schooled at brandwag high and went  on to complete a bachelor of commerce degree in financial planning at Nelson Mandela metropolitan University. In college he also used his various cricket techniques which helped him to be a perfect skillful bowler today. He liked playing cricket at a age of 8 only, but got more skills and interest at university time. Many coaches told him that he has super amazing bowling speed. He is quick as Usain bolt. But, in early time the player like to batting instead. All his friend’s coaches forced him to pick batting as his career and today he is a superstar when it comes to fast bowling. Along with him the players like Rabada and ngidi are also the part of South Africa fast bowling attack. He likes to play in shorter format rather than playing test match or one day international. He is a superb player and a good entertainer too who always helps to make his fellow young teammates laugh. Rather than a player, he is a brilliant person which also helps his team to cooperate with him. 

CAREER

The player was included in the Eastern province squad for the 2016 Africa T20 Cup. In October 2018, the player was named in cape Town blitz squad for the first edition of mzansi super league T20 tournament. But in the mid of the tournament only Anrich was ruled out from the tournament due to his ankle injury. The player was purchased by Kolkata knight Riders for 2019 season, but again the player was ruled out from the tournament due to a shoulder injury. It can be said that he is an amazing fast bowler but always get ruled out because of injuries.

He was released by Kolkata knight Riders in 3018, but in 2020 the player was purchased by Delhi capitals as a replacement of Chris Woakes. On 14 October,  2020 the player bowled one of the fastest delivery of IPL at a speed of 156kph. Again in 2021 the player was retained by Delhi capitals. 

In February 2019, Anrich was named in South Africa’s one day international squad against Sri Lanka and made his debut for South Africa against Sri Lanka on 3 March 3019. In April 3019, the player was named in 2019 cricket World Cup. On 7th May, 2019 he was rules out from world Cup again due to his hand injury and was replaced by Chris Morris. Sometimes, the injuries have a bad impact on the player’s life. 

In 2019, he was named in South Africa T20 squad against India and made his T20 debut for series against India. He also made his test debut against India in 2019. In March 2020, Anrich Nortje was awarded with a national contract by cricket South Africa ahead of the 20-21 season and done very well for his nation and country offering every skill he has.
