Anuj Rawat is a young Indian cricketer who domestically plays for Delhi. He was born on the 17th of October 1999 in Uttarakhand India. He is primarily a batsman and acts as the left-handed wicket-keeper batsman.
He made his first-class debut back in 2017-18 Ranji trophy where he played for Delhi. In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals and in the 2021 IPL auction, he was again bought by them.
Early life
Anuj Rawat was born in a small village – Ram Nagar in Uttarakhand India on 17 October 1999. He was the son of a farmer and had a passion for cricket ever since he was young. He started playing cricket as a hobby with his neighborhood friends when young.
However, his father quickly read his skills and decided to enroll him in a cricketing Academy 5 km away from their home. His first coach recognised the besotting talent he had and urged Anuj’s father to enroll him in a bigger academy.
Anuj’s father acted on this suggestion and enrolled him in a cricket academy in Delhi namely the West Delhi cricket academy under coach Raj Kumar Sharma, who was also the coach of Virat Kohli.
He made his place in the domestic team of Delhi at the tender age of 18 and played for the first time in Ranji Trophy in 2017-18.
Career
Anuj Rawat was born on 17 October 1999 in Uttarakhand. The cricketer hailing from Uttarakhand was at the tender age of 19 when he made his first-class debut in the Ranji trophy in 2017-18. He was playing for the team of Delhi against Assam and knocked 71 runs in his debut innings.
He made his first-class Twenty20 debut in the 20 1819 Syed Mustafa calligraphy for the team of Delhi. His Alice debut was in 2019 for Delhi while playing for the Vijay Hazare trophy.
His wonderful performances in the Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Vijay Hazare Trophy helped him land a spot in the Indian U-19 team. In fact, he was also the captain of the U-19 team for the Sri Lanka Tour.
He was a part of the under 19 team that won the Asia cup 2018. The teams he has played for include the Delhi under 19 team, India under 19 team, Delhi domestic team, and the IPL team of Rajasthan Royals.
In the 2020 and 2021 IPL auctions, he was purchased by Rajasthan Royals for the price of Rs.80 lakh for both years.

Anuj Rawat was born on 17 October 1999 to his farmer father-Virender pal Singh and his homemaker mother. He also has a brother named Prashant Rawat who won like his brother is not in the field of cricket.
He started playing cricket as a hobby but Weekly accepted the fact that he did not just like the sport and rather was too passionate about it. Initially, he played in a local cricket academy in the state of Uttarakhand but moved to Delhi to get expert training.
His father had wanted himself to be a cricketer but couldn’t due to financial constraints. His father instead worked in earnest to ensure that Anuj fulfilled his dream and became a successful cricketer.
