Recently, the most shocking news came from the Australian and Chennai Kings fast bowler Josh Hazlewood that he will withdraw his name from the Vivo IPL 2021 to stay fresh and a great shape for the upcoming Australia international cricket calendar. After josh Philippe and Mitchell Marsh, he became the third player to withdraw his name ahead of the 14th season of IPL.
Since July last year, Hazlewood has been very much confused during the biosecure bubbles, including the Super Kings at IPL, and finally cleared his view regarding the withdrawal confirmation from the IPL. He clearly said that he wanted to focus on the Australian international crickets’ series and want to keep himself fresh and energetic for the upcoming series.
His statement was quite shocking as he suddenly changed his mind. According to his statement-
“It’s a very long 10 months in Bubble and quarantine at different time, so I decided to have a rest from cricket and spend some time with family at home.”
He also said that we have to play a big winter ahead too because the West Indies will be for a long tour to Australia; they also have to play with Bangladesh for some T20 matches.
Then the T 20 world cup is also coming after Australia has to play the most important series against England known as Ashes. Overall, you can say this is a big and hectic schedule for an Australian pacer and one of the key bowlers like Hazlewood. No doubt this is a big 12 month-long hectic schedule for this fast bowler, and he doesn’t want to take any risk here, which is why he decided to pull out his name from the squad.
Hazlewood also added no doubt I love to Play IPL, but this time I have to leave IPL.
Though Hazlewood is not a frontline bowling option for Super Kings, his experience and presence matter a lot for the squad, last season, Hazlewood managed to play in only three matches. Still definitely, he is one of the key players of CSK.
