IPL is a popular cricket league all over the world for all cricket lovers. This is a league where you can enjoy a shorter format of cricket, in other words, T20 crickets. As we all know, T20 cricket is tough to predict, and sometimes a batter can change the whole game within minimal ball consumption and can snatch the win from the opposition even without any clues.
When any quality batsman is in great form and flow, then it becomes challenging for the opposition to recover the damage soon. This post will discuss some of the brilliant innings of high-quality batters and know about the fastest fifties in IPL history ever.
Fastest fifties in IPL History
Currently, the fastest half-century in IPL History record belongs to Indian opener KL Rahul. He has achieved this record in IPL 2018, where he hit 51 runs of just 16 balls with the help of 4 big sixes and 6 classic boundaries. He is currently the captain of Punjab Kings. In that match, the Punjab team chased down a huge target of 167 runs in just 18.5 overs with the help of KL Rahul’s fastest half-century and Karun Nair’s Half-century off 33 balls.
Rahul broke the record of Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine, who were played blistering innings, having fasted the fifties in 2014 IPL. That was the most stunning innings for Yusuf when he was played for KKR while chasing 161 runs in a crucial match and need to chase this target within 15.2 to qualify the second spot in the points table.
In that game, Yusuf Pathan smashed 72 runs off only 22 deliveries and reached a half-century in just 15 balls, and won the match for KKR.
In IPL 2017, KKR were chasing 159 runs against RCB, and Sunil Narine slammed his fastest half-century in just 15 balls which were fastest at that time in IPL history. KKR has chased down that target in1 5.1 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.

In that game, CSK has to chase a huge total of 227 runs to ensure the place for the final match. Against KXIP, he smashed a fifty in only 16 balls, and in his innings, there are 12 fours, and 6 sixes were there; unfortunately, they failed to chase that big total, but Raina created history!
