Early Life
Harpreet Singh Brar was born on 16 September 1995 in a small town of Punjab in India, Mogar. He was born to Mohinder Singh Brar and Gurmeet Kaur Brar. As a native of the Punjab district, Harpreet spent a very enthusiastic and energetic childhood. He was inclined toward cricket since the very beginning of his adulthood.
He completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalya, AFS High Grounds, Chandigarh, and is an undergraduate from GGDSD College in Chandigarh, Haryana.

He started chasing his dream when he was still in school and was picked up to play for Punjab Under 16 team. Next, in his college years, he played for the Punjab Under 19 team and displayed his extraordinary performance.
When he was growing up, his immediate relatives were not happy with his choice of playing cricket and taunted him and his family for their decision. However, as we can see now, those barbs only helped him to grow and focus more on his field.
He always had a backup for when everything in cricket doesn’t go as well as he planned. His alternatives consisted of two amazing options, one of which was to join the Punjab Police, like his father, pursue his higher studies from Canada, where his sister used to live too. Interestingly, destiny never gave him the choice of following the alternative plan and he landed on his dream career path, cricket.

His cricket career saw its sunrise when he started playing for Punjab under 16 and under 19 teams in different phases of his life. Brar faced a lot of struggles, while he was auditioning for IPL trials. He waited seven years for positive news about his selection in the team and he finally got a call from a local IPL franchise and he was bought by Kings XI Punjab at his base price of 20 lakhs.
He continues to play for Punjab Kings unwavering. We hope to see more of him in the coming years.
