MS Dhoni was the costlier player of that auction and no doubt was the most deserving player who got that amount for his amazing batting and leadership ability. He was the most demanding player in the first IPL season, and Chennai Super Kings included Dhoni with their franchises for 9.5 crores. In the 2019 IPL auction, Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff were the most expensive players in the auction. Finally, in the Vivo IPL 2021, Chris Morris auctioned with whooping amount16.25 crores by Rajasthan Royals and broke all record. He is currently the most expensive player in the history of IPL.
