MUJEEB UR RAHMAN ZADRAN BIOGRAPHY

Mujeeb Zadran, also known as Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a very talented and famous Afghanistan cricketer, who plays for Afghanistan national cricket team. A very interesting fact and a special thing about this player is that Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the first player to play international cricket who was born in the 21st century. No cricketer has ever won this reward. Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran was born on 28 March 2001. 

After 2 months of his international debut, at the age of 16 years, he became the very first youngest bowler in the history of cricket to take a five-wicket haul in a one-day international match. Not only this but this youngster was one of those players who was included in the playing 11 of Afghanistan team when they played their first official international test match against Team India in the 2018 year. The match was also included in his first-class career as he didn’t participate in any of the first-class cricket and was directly sent in the playing 11 test team because of his extraordinary performance in one day and T20 international. One of his uncles, Noor Ali Zadran was also a famous Afghanistan’s international cricketer. 

Despite being the most affected country with wars and with poor background the player managed to reach this level today which is all because of his hard work and determination towards sports particularly cricket. The player started learning spin bowling at the age of 10, he developed his private practicing level by squeezing the sponge ball into two fingers by making it a spin. The results he has today are just unbelievable and so great for everyone. The player also got married last year in 2020, at Kabu when he was 19 years old.

Mujeeb Zadran DOMESTIC CAREER

As we all know cricket was not a major influenced sport in countries like Afghanistan, but the player still manages to reached at so higher level today. The player made his List A debut for the Speen Ghar region in the year 2017 in a local Afghanistan tournament named Ghazi Amaanullaah Khan regional one-day Tournament on 10th August. The player also made his T 20 debut for Boost defenders In 2017 years ( again a local team and in a local tournament), the series was known as Shapageeza cricket League which was held on 11th September 2017. Within the next month only, the player was signed by a local Bangladesh tournament which opened the gates for him.

 Soon after his successful local series, the player was in auction for the IPL year 2018. Kings XII Punjab bought this Young talented Afghanistan bowler in the auction. On 8 April 2018, Mujeeb UR Rahman Zadran became the first youngest player to play in the Indian premier league. His performance was up to mark and was also a bowler who bowled in the power play as a spinner as everyone does not get this opportunity. The player is this year bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad and will play for them from 9th April. 

In 2018, the player was then signed by Hampshire County cricket club To play in the T20 blast in England tournament. Also after few months, he was named in Afghanistan premier League. He was the joint leading wicket-taker in that tournament, with nearly 12 wickets in just 9 matches. After this, the player started playing all the tournaments whose names are mentioned in this article but the team got different as he was again and again released and bought because of his popularity. 

INTERNATIONAL CAREER

The player made his one-day international debut on 5 December 2017. In the debut match, only Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran took 4 wickets and conceded 22 runs only From his quota of 10 overs which also helped his team to have a great victory by more than 120 runs. Also in his debut match only, the player was awarded as man of the match for his great and excellent bowling spells with his fellow friend Rashid Khan. 

Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran made his T20 debut on 8 February 2018 against Zimbabwe. But the match was not on his side. On 16 February 2018, Mujeeb took a five-wicket haul against Zimbabwe which is the greatest record by a youngster in the history of cricket, the player was also awarded man of the match for his excellent spell. 

In 2018, The international cricket council named Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran as one of the best ten players which people would love to see in the future in the World Cup qualifier tournament. On 15 March 2018, he took 3 wickets against West Indies and the match was a World Cup qualifier for the Afghanistan team where Mujeeb and Rashid both help the Afghanistan team to get back strongly in the match and they qualified it. The player made his test match debut against India when the Afghanistan team also made their test debut. 

In 2019, Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran was included in the World Cup 2019 in Afghanistan team and was also tagged as a rising star by ICC. The player has achieved all the heights by his hard work and determination which all were not able to achieve in a country like Afghanistan.
