When the name of cricket rises anywhere, people go directly towards the Indian Premier League because it is an invention of new youngsters who can play well by performing good in IPL. Many youngsters don’t have enough money and opportunity, but still, leagues like IPL and other district League offers them golden opportunity to change their lives and be the best out of best. So let’s have a look at a biography of a youngster who has not debuted till now but can be a tremendous rising star in few months.

Ripal Patel is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Gujrat Ranji team at the district level but has not debuted for team India. He was born on September 28 1995, which quickly denotes that now he is 26 years old. The player has been doing so well, performing best for his team in Leagues like Vijay Hazare Trophy and another local tournament. The player made his List A debut on September 20 2019, just before eight days of his birthday for Gujrat in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 season and showed every selector that he could India’s next best batsman.

When it comes to this player’s early life, he has faced all the problems in his life or had fought with every fight, and today he is one of the rising stars for the next Indian cricket team. Ripal was born and grown up in the small town of Nadiad, which is located in Gujrat. The small town didn’t have many opportunities for the player to play at a significant level, but still, he tried to do his best, and the rest God made for him. Ripal Patel’s love and passion for games, especially in cricket, started early.

In one interview, he said his role model is Steve Smith, and he would love to have him as his mentor, and after some time, they both got selected in one IPL team only; that would be a dream moment for the player.

In the Early days, he liked to watch South Indian movies and often refers to actor prabhas as his all-time favourite. He is a big fan of Aishwarya Rai when it comes to the female favourite actor. He had told in an interview that he would love to play under Virat Kohli’s captaincy and want to see a live battle of Virat with Smith.  The middle-order batsman is Especially known for scoring dashes and chipping in with some wickets by bowling the right-arm medium pace.

Ripal hasn’t played any cricket match at the international level until now, but soon he will get a place in the Indian cricket team. He is a hard-hitting destructive batsman who can play some crucial innings for his team and some hard-hitting innings at lower order, which tells that this batsman can be a good batsman in future.

The player has not played a single first-class match too in his career yet. The Gujrat born player has represented his home state Gujrat in List -A and T20 cricket only. The player made his List-A debut versus the Bengal cricket team at Jaipur on September 24, 2019. He scored nearly nine runs of ten deliveries against Bengal and got out by the bowling of master Ashok Dinda. Ripal Patel, the 25-year-old boy, has not been so successful in list-A cricket. He has scored 111 runs only in eight List -A innings, with his highest batting score is only 35 runs, which is not an indication of a good batsman. The player’s batting average in the List -A format is only 13.87.

But when we compare his performance in List-A match with T20 cricket, he has done far better in at20 cricket for his home state. The player played his first domestic T20 match against Saurashtra on November 11, 2019. He has 191 T20 runs with a strike rate of 189 in nine T20 innings. The player has made his name in cricket with his six-hitting ability. In their List-A career also, the player has smashed seven sixes in eight innings. He has never scored a half-century in domestic cricket, but his six-hitting ability attracted the IPL franchise to select him for sure.

Ripal banged the IPL 2021 auction where Delhi capitals signed him and purchased the player for Rs 20 lakh. With the presence of big hitters like Rishabh pant, Shimron Hetmyer and other bigger hitters, it will be an honour to see what we’ll Ripal can do with the bat.  The player was so happy when he got his first IPL contract with Delhi capitals, as his mentor or idol Smith is also in the same team, and he will get a valuable guide for sure.

When it comes to the physical appearance of this player, then Ripal is a muscular man who has so much power to hit lofted shots. He is five feet and eight inches tall and weighs about 80 kg. He has dark brown colour eyes, which suits him to the full extent and has dashing shiny black hair, which suits his personality. He is an excellent player and a promising youngster who wants to learn so much from his idol and his elders.

The player has not played much first-class cricket or international level cricket, so he can earn a little bit from Vijay Hazare and 20 lakh from IPL as he was purchased by Delhi capitals in 2021-22 IPL auction.

Ripal is an active player on social media too, and he keeps posting his cricket related photos.
