Thomas Kevin Curran who is popularly Tom Curran was born on 12 March 1995 in Cape Town , south Africa. He is Cricketer who represents England in the test matches, one day international matches and twenty 20 Internationals. He mostly plays for the club that us Surrey country club in English for domestic cricket he is popularly known for his bowling , he is a right arm- fast- medium pacer bowler who bats with right handed. He is basically a all-rounder player who has done excellent in this field.

He is representing England since 2017, he played his test debut (cap682) on 26 December 2017 that was vs Australia, that latest test that he played was on 4 January 2018 . On 29 September in 2017 he played his test with west Indies , he played his latest odi with India on 26 March 2012 , his odi shirt number was 59 , he played very well in this match , his T-20 debut (cap 79) he played on 23 June in 2017, that was with south Africa . The latest T-20 was on 14 March in 2021 that was with India.
He is very well player the he won the cricket writers club young cricketer of the year award for his performance in 2015. Tom Curran was a vital part of England group that won the 2019 cricket world cup, but somehow he didn’t play in any matches during that the tournament. He is brother of all rounder Sam Curran.
Early life :
He is son of Zimbabwe international cricketer Kevin Curran , and the brother of both Ben Curran and Sam Curran. He was born in Cape Town , Curran attended Springvale House, a preparatory school in Zimbabwe before he moved on to prestigious St George’s college in Harare. He is a Excellent player in cricket allowed hum to move onto Hilton college and finally Wellington college in England.

Domestic and T:20
He represented KwaZulu – natal inland at under-15 , and hnder-17 and under-19 level. He noticed playing schools cricket by former Surrey captain Ian Grieg, he was invited to play for the Surrey second eleven in 2012, and transferred to Wellington college in September of that year. He made his senior debut for Surrey in the list A match against Essex in 13 August 2013, and his First class debut against Cambridge University in April in 2014, in August 2017 , he was named in Cape Town knight riders group for the first season of the T-20 global league . But however , in October 2017, cricket South Africa initially postponed the tournament until November 2018, with it being cancelled soon after. He was announced as the replacement for Mitchell Starc by Kolkata knight riders for the 2018 Indian premier League, where he played 5 matches and took 6 wickets.
In 2019 , July , in the 2019 T20 Blast match against Glamorgan , Curran took a hat- trick , finishing with figures of three wickets for three runs from the two overs he bowled . In 2019, September , he was named in the group for the Tshwane Spartans team for the 2019 mzansi super league tournament. Curran was auctioned for his base price of rupees 1 crore to the Rajasthan royals and appeared in the 2020 season in February 2021, Curran was bought by the Delhi capitals in the IPL auction ahead of the 2021 Indian premier league.
International cricket:
He is eligible to play for South Africa , Zimbabwe or England performance programmed group in September in 2015, He completed his residential qualification for England in October 2015, he received his first call – up to a full England group in February 2017, for the one day international tour of the west Indies , as cover for Jake Ball.
In June 2017, he was named in England’s twenty 20 international squad for the series against South Africa. He made his T-20 debut for England against South Africa on 23 June in 2017 at Taunton , taking about 3 wickets for 33 runs , including a wicket- in his first over. He was named in England ODI group for their next series , against the west Indies , and made his ODI debut against them in 2017 on 29 September.
In November 2018 , he was added to England’s test squad as a replacement for Steven Finn for the Ashes series in Australia. Prior to the fourth test, starting at the MCG in boxing day , Curran was named as replacement for the injured Craig Overton, giving him his test Debut , during this debut test, he thought he had dismissed David Warner , but caught at mid on for 99. But somehow , Tv replays showed that Curran had over – stepped and a non ball was called. Warner returned to complete his century and Curran finished the day wicket less. He was the third England bowler in four years, after Ben stokes and Mark wood , to miss out on a maiden test wicket- in tests wicket because of a no ball his first wicket in tests was Steve Smith.
Curran was named in England’s group for the 2019 , cricket world cup, but was one of two players along with Liam Dawson to be unused, as England went in to win the tournament. He was named in a 55- man group of players to begin training ahead of international fixtures starting in England following the covid 19 pandemic in the summer of 2020. On 9 July 2020 , Curran was included in England a 24 man group to start training behind closed doors for the ODI series against Ireland, and he went on to play in four on England’s sox ODI and all six of their T-20 that summer taking a total of four wickets.
