Vivo IPL 2021 is going to rock the stage on 9th April 2021 but before that, there are certain things that the franchisees need to look at. The news coming that a couple of players from the different franchises have tested Corona Positive and hence those players have to follow the given SPOs and guidelines given by the BCCI.
The report says that BCCI has given a suitable standard operating procedure for all the teams which they have to follow when a player or a squad member tests corona positive. According to the standard operating procedure if any player of any franchise has found tested corona positive then he should undergo a ten days quarantine and a cardiac screening.
If any player has tested positive then he needs to stay isolated in a designated area that is far away from the squad and the biosecure bubble environment. He can only join the team after clearing the RT-PCR tests. The rule also says that an individual should not have any kind of Covid symptoms at least for 24 hours before joining the bio bubble of the team.
The guidelines say that the team doctor has to inform the BCCI chief medical officer if any case any player found positive during IPL 2021. If anyone tested positive then all the members who came in contact with that player have to isolate themselves and go for the Covid test immediately. All the staff members who are going to handle the positive cases must have to wear a full PPE kit for safety purposes.
The player who has tested corona positive has been advised to take a rest without doing any kind of fitness exercises or preparation for IPL 2021. The team doctors have to monitor the affected player regularly and in case they feel the symptoms are getting worsen then they need to hospitalize the affected player immediately.
