MI won their first IPL trophy in 2013 when they defeated CSK in a tough battle by 23 runs. In 2015 they again won the trophy against CSK.

CSK was the team that won the maximum number of IPL titles after Mumbai Indians. This team won their first IPL title in 2010 against Mumbai Indians by 22 runs. Again they won the trophy in 2011 by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore with a huge margin of 58 runs.
