L.Balaji created history by taking the first-ever hat-trick in 2008  

The first hat-trick in IPL was taken by Lakshmipathy Balaji, who played for CSK in the first season of IPL 2008 against Kings XI Punjab (currently Punjab Kings). The first season of IPL World cricket has witnessed three amazing hat-tricks. Again in 2017, fans also witnessed another three hat-tricks in IPL.

Though Rohit Sharma is known for his explosive batting, he can also bowl as a part-timer. Surprisingly Rohit as a part-time bowler, is the first player to take a hat-trick in the Indian premium league 2009 against Mumbai Indians.

Amit Mishra leads the list        

Formerly experienced leg spinner Amit Mishra has an amazing IPL career. He has the rare record of taking 3 hat-tricks till now, which is the most by any player in the history of IPL. He has taken all hat tricks for different franchises. The first hat-trick he took for Delhi DareDevils in 2008. The second one he took in 2011 for Deccan Chargers, and the last one came in 2012 when he played for Sunrises Hyderabad.

Yuvraj Singh successfully holds the record of achieving two IPL hat-tricks   

All-rounder and part-time bowler Yuvraj Singh have also taken two hat-tricks in the history of IPL. He comes at the second position as a player who took the most number of hat-tricks in IPL after Amit Mishra.
